Today we are inundated by content. When I considered this message to read more, I thought to myself…”I already read allllll friggin day long…” There’s Twitter, and email subscriptions, and EMAILS, and funny ass memes…all day long it surrounds us and floods us as we stare at our phones, tablets, and laptops. I feel like I am reading non-stop, so how could reading more really be the secret key to success?

Um. What I mean to say is, apparently we, as in the collective of people who wish for Gatesonian levels of business and financial success, need to read more relevant and important things. When it comes to reading, it is about QUALITY AND QUANTITY. Consider this the next time you are reading something: is this content helping you educate yourself in some way? Or is it just entertaining you in some way?
Want to be like Musk? Read to improve yourself, not (just to) entertain yourself. That tip in and of itself will probably eliminate 75% of the content you look at regularly. The more you read, the more you learn. The more you learn, the more you can work smarter, not harder. Reading is a simple thing to add to your daily routine, yet many of you still won’t…
